videos

She loves playing with blankets..she'll put it on her head and pull it right off..like she's playing peek-a-boo by herself. The video with the walker is when she was first learning to say "uh-oh." They're both about a month old.

Family fun at the park

Our first morning adventure was to the park. It was so fun to see Chris finally get some time to play with Addy..especially since he'd never been to the park with her yet. Her favorite is still the swings.

she thought the slide was pretty fun, but she'd prefer something more exciting

I love her face in this one!

Chicago

Finally!! Here's some pics from some of the wives' trip to Chicago a couple weeks ago.

Taking a break after walking..the kids had fun playing in the fountain, and we headed into Ghiradelli to get some samples:)

Happy Anniversary!

Today Chris and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary! What an amazing 2 years it has been. Today we dropped Addy off with some friends and Chris and I went down to Lake Michigan and hung out on the beach for a couple hours before work. I think the last time we went on a date alone was for his birthday in December. It was so nice to spend time alone with him and go do something fun and relaxing. I could not ask for a better husband, friend and father for Addison. He truly is my favorite person on earth. I miss him so much during the days and can't wait for the next stage in our lives. I love each minute I spend with him and he continues to make me happier each day. He teaches me so much and sets such a great example in our home of being Christlike in all we do. I love you Babe and look forward to many more anniversaries!
The past few days have been somewhat down for me..it's funny how in the last post I said I'm going to be really sad to leave, yet today I actually started going through the apt sorting and packing up things we haven't been using. I've been a little homesick to get back to Idaho Falls with friends and family and start our new phase in our lives. This summer has been great and we've learned so much and Chris is going to work hard the next few weeks to try and hit our goal..but for now, I'm missing family and friends. I'm still waiting to get pictures posted - I actually have a connection in our apt for the moment..but it's not stable enough to post pictures. These posts are so boring without Addy's cute face to liven them up!!

quick update

I hate not having internet at our apt! It's a pain to come down to the clubhouse and you can't download pictures down here anyway..BUT hopefully tonight I'll catch up on a friend's computer. So for now, just a quick update on what we've been up to! Addy has said her first word.."uh-oh." it's precious and she uses it in the right context..she'll drop her food on the floor and say it, etc. :) She somehow opened the listerene and dumped it all over the bathroom floor..lucky for us she hates to get her hands dirty so she didn't touch and it left our apt smelling minty fresh! I can't believe July is almost over and we're on the final stretch for the end of the summer! Last summer I couldn't pack up fast enough, but I'm going to be really sad this summer to leave my new friends. There's a few of us that are together pretty much everyday and I'm really sad that I don't live in Utah county anymore where we could continue to hang out. :( The best news of all is that I've started running with some of the girls each morning and we've added strength training for a half hour and abs after our runs and I've lost 15 lbs since I last weighed myself in the beginning of May! I cried I was so happy! I've done workouts by myself but doing it with friends makes it so much better and it's better motivation to wake up that early knowing they're waiting outside:) I'm so close to my goal, which is 10 more by the time we go home..we'll see:) Chris is working hard as always and is excited for the summer to be over. We've started doing things in the morning so he can have somewhat of a normal life out here. He finally got to go to the park with Addy and I, and we're planning on a beach and zoo trip as a family next week. I went with the girls to Chicago last Saturday and got to walk the "magnificent mile" ( huge shopping street) and go to Navy Pier. We got Chris registered for school at EITC in Idaho Falls and are still looking for an apt and job. We've decided no more summer work and he'll just hit school hard and go year round till he finishes up. I can't even begin to express how happy I am to not move every six months anymore! Anyway, hopefully pictures to come soon!!

4th of July in Indiana

Our 4th was so much better than last year! We went to the parade in LaPorte which is about 15 minutes away. It was by far the most redneck parade we've been to - here's what the majority of the parade was...tractors and bands/dance teams...there was only 2 floats. Addy did great, I was so excited for her first real 4th of July, since last year she was only a week old. The wives did a potluck in the afternoon and then the guys stopped early so we could have our incentive dinner. No fireworks for the second year in a row which makes me sad, but we had fun this year. I can't wait to stay home for a summer and have our traditional 4th of July in Idaho Falls.

She watched for a little bit..I love her crossed ankles in almost every picture.

Smile!!

I was covering Addy's ears as the firetrucks went by and thought it was so cute that Tyson covered his own.

Tyson loved the firetrucks..he'd keep going "Oh"!

got bored with the parade and decided to read the paper.

So cute!

U-Pick Berry Farm

Some of the wives and I went to a really popular U-pick Berry Farm last week and it was pretty fun!! I don't know if I'd be jumping up and down excited to go again, but it was a good experience. The best part was the tractor/wagon ride that they take you on to get to the picking area. Addy Loved standing up against the benches to watch everything pass by. The strawberries and raspberries were so much better fresh picked than from the store. Once Addy realized what they were, she was shoving handfuls of raspberries in her mouth one after another.

of course she had to munch on the bench, as she does with everything.

Addy and Tyson playing in the dirt while we pick.

Grandpa and Grandpa Rose mailed Addy her present a couple days early..and this is what kept her entertained for those couple days till she could open it. She just pushed it around like her walker..except she would crawl:) Thanks for the present! She loves her quiet book and movie!

Birthday Cake!
