McKinley turns 1 !

The past year has flown by for us, for many reasons. Our lives have changed drastically - and having our third baby come so soon has been very challenging. But just thinking about her, brings tears to my eyes. I am SO grateful that this little girl was so determined to come down to our family, no matter the spacing between siblings, no matter how hard it has been..she had a mission to fulfill and wasn't waiting until it was "convenient" for us. I can't imagine life without her. She is so unique and full of spirit. McKinley is feisty, vocal, cuddly and loves to always have body contact and be by her family. She'll keep a hand on Chris's arm and eat with her other hand during dinner. She is so loving, and I love watching her grow and change each day. Happy Birthday Kin Kin - we love you more than you'll ever know!
We had a small party for her in Idaho last weekend, but we made a cake for her to destroy today, and the Vocana's were so sweet and got a present and came over for cake/ice cream to celebrate. They're her second family:)
Chris sneaking in the picture :)
this picture is hilarious..but I needed one of all 3 of them today:)

I made a cake, but the frosting didn't work out well to get messy...

so we gave her a piece of the gooey cake with real frosting that everyone else had...
 and she was much happier!
 and wanted to share...

so happy whenever chocolate is around!

Catch up!

Wow, I am a very rutty person. I get in ruts with everything..especially this blog. I have good intentions..and I actually enjoy blogging, but my limited time to myself has many demands - and this seems to end up on the bottom of the list. I'm really relying on what everyone tells me of things getting easier as kids start school. I'm looking forward to that "me time" to start catching up on my huge list of projects:) A lot has been going on the past couple months..and that's what I'm really frustrated with, is that I haven't used this as my journal to write it all down. So I'm going to highlite what has happened and come back later and go into detail. Not in any particular order:)

*Chris was made EQ President in our Ward. (again, I'll go into detail later, because I really struggled with this at first)
*Our little Addybug turned 4
*Lots of 8am trips to the store, and park because of the consistent 100+ temps
*Last minute trip to IF last weekend
*I turned 27
*My parents had a last minute work trip here for a couple days
*Bank approval on our house
*4th of July
*finally running 3 miles without stopping (Chris and I are training for races in the fall)
*getting better at "clean eating"

Things coming up:
*Our baby, that I swear I just had, is turning 1
*Our 5th Anniversary
*Kids and I staying in IF for a couple weeks
*Education Week
*lots of chaotic packing somehow getting done with 3 toddlers
*close friends having babies that I can't wait to hold
*Chris and I running longer distances to run races together
*Both of our family reunions - seriously..when am I supposed to pack, clean and move!?

Happy 4th of July from the Roses! We had a great time down here in Vegas, celebrating the 4th! The parade kind of bummed us out..we didn't have good seats, shade and they didn't throw candy. So that forced us to leave early. But we came home and played in the sprinklers, slip n slide, had lunch, napped, brinner, and then walked down to the huge park here where they were having live music, games, food and our own firework show. And let me just say, that even coming from Idaho Falls where we have the best fireworks west of the Mississippi..Providence did not disappoint us at all!! We Loved it, and it was so much fun to relax at the park with friends from the Ward, in perfect weather, and let the kids run around. We loved getting to walk home and not fight traffic for over an hour like back home, and we did light off some of our own fireworks at home for the first time. I love getting to start new traditions as the kids get older. I am also so grateful to live in this great country, and I'm so grateful for those who are fighting to keep us free.
