The Wedding!

We were a little un-traditional in how we did the wedding and reception. We had our reception the night before the wedding on July 26, 2007. It was so much fun! My parents were on their mission at the time, and were able to drive home for it. We were so blessed in being able to have both of our entire families there. We had a little bad luck with the weather...of course the ONLY day it rained that summer was the night of the reception. We had it in Chris's parent's back yard..and about halfway through the evening it started to pour. It made for a memorable night! We all ran under the canopies and waited it out. The next morning we were sealed in the Idaho Falls temple...had a luncheon following and then Chris and I spent the next week up in Island Park at his family's cabin. We decided during that time to move back to Idaho Falls at the end of the summer. When we got back to Utah, we started packing, gave our jobs their notice and moved back home in September 2007.

The Dating Years

Chris and I met in our Single's Branch here in Idaho Falls in 2005. I was waiting for a missionary at the time, and had absolutely no interest in dating. I moved to Provo, and came back home around Halloween to visit and threw a party at my house with friends from the branch. Chris came, and the next day when I was driving back to Utah, I decided to text him and get his e-mail address. We talked on Messenger and eventually talked for hours by phone each night. I finished school and moved back to Idaho Falls in December and we continued dating off and on for the next year and a half. We both moved to Utah and broke up completely in May of 2007 only to get engaged a month later. We were married in Idaho Falls on July 27, 2007 and have lived happily ever after!
