Ballet/Tap

One of my favorite moments as a Mom, is watching Addy at her dance class. She's in a ballet/tap, once a week for 45 minutes with her best friend Karlee. I just love watching her in setting with other kids, seeing how she interacts with them. Plus, she has always loved dancing and does it all day - so it's fun to put her in a class learning real moves:)(as real as you can get with 3 yr olds)

It's January?? Really??

We are in heaven with this weather. It's mainly been in the mid 60's all of January and we are loving it! Chris even got adventurous and filled up the pool for them with warm water:)Her friend Shay from church came over one of the super sunny days..

cupcakes!

Chris's Mom got Addy the cutest silicone baking set. We have cake pans, bread pans and cupcake liners. Addy loves them and is always wanting to make something. So after the Holidays when we got back home and relaxed..we made cupcakes! I love these pictures....

Chris turns 30!

I couldn't decide what to do for Chris's birthday this year. He had no time to think of what he wanted..so I went ahead and decided to plan a surprise party. His birthday is 2 days after Christmas, so when that day came he would NOT stop asking questions..it was beyond annoying! He was bummed that all I'd planned was dinner at his brother's house. His parents called that morning wanting to see him..(thank you for helping me throw him off!), so while he went there I went shopping for the food. I dropped it off with Tosha so they could have it ready when we got there. I'm so grateful for everyone showing up. It made it all worth it for him to look around and say that everyone who has had such a huge impact in his life were all there. We had all his siblings and spouses(minus Dan), parents and his 3 best friends; Gregg, Zach and Chris. We ate, talked and played games. It was so much fun..especially with no kids to chase around.

Christmas Morning Part 2

After we opened presents and went to church with Chris's parents, we headed out to my parent's house. We opened some more presents, had a huge, delicious lunch and hung out and played games before Travis and Carrie left.

Christmas Morning part 1

We spent Christmas Eve night and Christmas morning with Chris's parents this year. It was a nice quiet morning and was so fun to sit back and watch the kids. We had to wake them up around 8, because church was at 11. It was so fun to spoil the kids..and I love that they find delight in even the smallest things, and don't need tons of toys or huge expensive things to be happy..I love them so much. We were so blessed this year as normal..and we're so grateful to all our family for the gifts they got us and for housing us and feeding us for the week. We were back and forth staying at both of our parents all week and we had a blast. It was bittersweet to say goodbye, but we were lucky to have such a long Holiday break this year.

Pre - Christmas

We left for Idaho on the Thursday before Christmas. Chris's work got out early, so we were able to start our long drive about 4:00. The kids did great, and we got to Idaho Falls about 3am. My brother Travis and his family were in town from Oregon, and were leaving Sunday, so it was awesome to be able to see them for a couple days before they left. Carrie had tons of fun ideas planned for the kids leading up to Christmas..so we mailed letters to Santa, created a Polar Express night, made ornaments for the tree, etc. Saturday night, we had a Progressive Dinner with the Roses. There was so much good food, and it was fun to have everyone together all night.

Gingerbread houses..they never stick together for us

She rolled over, grabbed it, unwrapped it..and then I hear a sucking sound. She must have thought it was a chocolate bottle, and screamed bloody murder when I took it away:) My parents did the 12 Days again this year. The theme this year was "angels." I know it's so much work for them, and we have loved it every year. The kids look forward to it each night, and I know I have more pictures from this year somewhere. For some reason I couldn't find them all.
