Pumpkin Patch

On Friday, we went to the Pumpkin Patch with Holly and her kids. I've been wanting to go, since last year was such a hit. Sadly, we went on Friday..and no one was there to run the train. We still had fun watching the kids play on the train and go through the corn maze.

In order to get her to smile for the camera, I say, "Show me your teeth!"

Halloween Gingerbread Disaster

We bought the Halloween Gingerbread kit at Walmart, because it was so cute and we knew Addy would have so much more fun than the Christmas one we got last year. Well, it was fun and it was hard to keep Addy from eating all the candy....but it didn't hold together at all. I gave up trying to keep it all together and just let it fall, then dumped frosting all over and threw the candy on top. Chris and I both don't like Halloween, but this was a fun activity we could do as a family:)

"uh-oh, Mommmy!!" (the roof fell)

Grandma's Birthday!

Oct 12, my beautiful mom celebrated her 56th Birthday. I have no idea what I'd do without her..and the thought of possibly having to move in 6 months for Chris's internship just freaks me out right now. We're so spoiled to live close to both of our parents, and they do so much for us - I just really don't want to move right now. Anyway, my Dad was out on a trip on her birthday..so we tried to make it a fun day for her. Before she left work, Addy and I surprised her with balloons...sadly I didn't have my camera. Then we had her come into our place for dinner and cake/ice-cream that evening.

I hope I look this amazing at 56!

Happy Birthday!!We love you Mom!!

Buddies

I know some people are going to think we're horrible because Addy has a binky, and she's 2..but yes, we still let her have one to sleep at night. That's the only time she uses it. Our goal was to have it gone before Mason was born, but that didn't happen, and now we barely get any sleep because of Mason..so it's being put off. Anyway, this video is a daily occurrence of these two at bedtime. I love how they make each other laugh.

Twinkle Twinkle

She always gets camera shy when I turn the camera on to record her...so this is the best I could get of her singing one of her favorite songs. She usually runs around the house belting out her favorite songs:)

Mason..(aka Tank)

Seriously?? My little baby will be 6 months old this month?!??! He has started so many things this past month. He loves his baby food...this boy was born to eat. He rarely spits it out, he's a natural when it comes to keeping the food in his mouth. His favorite fruits are Pears and Applesauce...favorite veggies are Beans and Squash. He sits up on his own for about 5 minutes, then tips over. He is now taking after his sister and rolling across the floor to get what he wants. The second you lay him on the floor, he rolls immediately to his stomach. So hopefully he'll start crawling soon. He gets his butt in the floor and can inch forward on his knees, but he hasn't figured out what his arms are for yet. He picks most toys up with his feet and brings them to his mouth. He's a great napper, always takes 3 naps each day..most nights he goes to bed at 7:30, I have to give him his binky once and a bottle usually around 5:30-6 and he's back to sleep till around 8. But he still has his nights when he's up a lot more. He's been having a really hard time teething since he was 4 1/2 months old...and has always had a hard time digesting his food since he was born. He spits up a ton, and has bad gas sometimes. His cries sometimes are so sad, and it's so frustrating not being able to cure these things. (yes, I've tried Mylicon drops, etc...the Dr just says he'll grow out of it) But for the most part he's a very happy, chill baby. Loves to be held, tickled, swaddled, loves his baths and jumping in his doorway jumper. He is slimming down!!! He doesn't get stuck in his bumbo anymore!! For those of you who don't know..he's been a very chunky baby, but he hides it well...all his weight is in his adorable, delicious thighs. He weighed 18lbs at his 4 month..but he's on the move now, so he'll slow down:) Here's some pics of our cute dimply, blue-eyed boy.

Addybug

When her boys come up to play, this is their favorite activity..pull the cushions off the couches, jump on them, then watch a movie.

Her legs aren't quite long enough to push the wheels all the way around, but she'll push herself with her feet.

Coloring

Her new "cheese" face...and yes she has her pants off. Some days she wants to try potty-training, so we'll have her run around naked. Then the next day she won't try. SOOO FRUSTRATING!

Best Buds

Is there anything cuter than siblings?!?!
I am so in love with these two adorable children of mine:)
I love watching their friendship grow each day.
I love how the older Mason gets, the more Addy plays with him, and takes over mothering him. I love having one-on-one time with them when they don't nap at the same time.
I love the different relationship I have with each of them.
I love hearing, "I love you Mommy!" from Addy,
and getting kisses and burrowing from Mason.
There's nothing better in the world than being a mother..I am SOOO grateful beyond words that I am so blessed to be able to have children.

The other day I went to get Mason's pj's and when I came back, Addy had taken off his diaper and was wiping him:) She'll stop that real quick when he pees on her one of these times;)

A newborn's conversation with God

I just read this this morning on a friend's post and I was bawling from the first sentence..I had to share it. Thanks for posting this Lachelle..I hope you don't mind me posting it.

A newborn's conversation with God

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?" God said, " Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy." God said, " Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."

Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?" God said, " Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?" and God replied, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.

"Who will protect me?" God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore." God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

And God said, " You will simply call her, 'Mom.'
