Health/Fitness Challenge

I am in the zone. And it feels amazing. The frustrating part of having 3 kids back to back was I lost a lot of muscle from being so sick for each pregnancy and not regaining it in between. Example..I currently weigh the same as I did when we got married, but I look nothing the same because my weight then was muscle and now I have none, and just have fat to burn off from the babies. So I have a lot of work to do to tone up..and if our plan works to have a nice break after Kinley before having another baby, I should be able to get to where I want to be. Another hard roadblock I'm pushing through right now, is that these 3 cute kids of mine are needy and I still haven't slept through the night since Addy was 1. I have insomnia during pregnancies and Kinely is being a stubborn little girl. They want to play wherever I am all day. So when I put a video in they're playing in between my legs, or when I'm on the treadmill they want to play too! But, I've given up making excuses so naptime is no longer me trying to relax, it's workout time. Or I try to get something in while they eat breakfast. It's my new addiction. I would love to do it before they wake up..but they like to wake up with the sun around 6 - 6:30 and I'm not that desperate to workout at 5. I've been running the past couple months..but I wanted to spice it up and my best friend Ashley is having me do this with her. I LOVE it and it has been an amazing past week. I feel so great. The menu she does for a week at a time, have been perfect for me. I needed to get to the point where I don't crave carbs and treats when I'm stressed and I've gotten past that point. My temptation this week was when a friend brought over a plate of cookies and they were thick and soft and I fought through it and had a couple dried plums instead. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything afterward. I was so proud. Eating healthy and exercise just makes you feel amazing physically and emotionally. I'm a better Mom, I'm more productive, I just want to be better all around. I've listened to conference talks all week. I love it. I'm in the zone and I finally feel like I've pushed past the plateau part. Thanks Ash, I owe you!

Sunday Brinner

I started a tradition for our little family a few months back. I just got tired of coming home and not feeling in the mood to make a big Sunday dinner. I should have been more productive and started something on Saturday, but I didn't. But our solution has been so much more fun. Our kids love it. I decided to start a tradition of doing Brinner on Sunday afternoons. Chris leaves at 5:15am Mon-Thurs and so the weekends are the only time to do yummy breakfasts. My goal has been to try new things each week. Thanks to Pinterest, I've tried different breakfast casseroles. I'll switch up pancakes/waffles..like today this is what we're trying, except gluten-free for chris:)
Don't they look amazing!?

...

I wasn't going to say anything yet, but we put an accepted offer on this a few weeks ago. It is a short sale, so we'll be waiting a few months until we hear back from the bank to see if they accept our offer as well. Short sales do test your patience, but they are great deals and our lease ends in September anyway. So we knew we wanted to start looking since we would need the summer to wait if we found something we wanted. Yes, we love it here enough we want to stay and we always said we'd give his job a  year before we would consider buying. We walked through 3 different houses of this same model and fell in love with the layout on the first one. We've had to compete with annoying investors snatching everything up so fast..so the first 2 houses accepted their offers first. Finally we got first dibs on this one and it was the best out of all 3 anyway! We love the neighborhood, schools have great reviews, and we already checked out the ward and love it. Just gotta play the waiting game now. For once, I hope time flies:)

McKinley

This was Addy's 1 year dress for her pictures. Kinley is wearing it right now even though she's just turning 10 months.I had to put pictures of both up to compare :) I have to say there's a lot of differences that I see on a daily basis, but in these pictures you can definitely tell they're sisters. Kinley is changing and growing so much everyday. She's at the stage where they're learning something new every week and I'm missing my baby! She just got her first tooth breaking through on Friday, and just like her sister, she now has them all coming at once. Her top 2 and bottom 2 are showing. She's mastered army crawling and is like a little spider all over the house. She won't sit still on your lap for 30 seconds, and is jumping and turning around out of your arms. She's by far the most vocal out of our kids at this age. She makes her needs and opinions known and is just trying to fit in with her brother and sister. We love our little auburn haired girl and are excited to watch her grow and start playing with her her siblings and friends at church.

Helping Daddy do dishes..I tried a new dishwasher detergent and it was horrible.
 Making Cinnamon Rolls

I'm so glad when Daddy comes home!!! Addy was riding the horse, Mason was feeding him, and Kinley was laughing at them all.

splash pad season

I love that we have splash pads all over to go cool off in. I also love that both kids love them this year. We'll have to work on Kinley:)

Mason turns 2!

Mason turned 2 on April 23rd. We celebrated on Sunday the 22nd and had a little party with his best friends. Mason is such a laid back, funny, sweet and wild boy. He loves his sisters, and loves having friends over and going to their houses. When I drop him off to be watched, he runs right into every house whether he's been there before or not. He loves animals, trucks, books, balls, and watching shows with Addy. He's a big teddy bear. Even though he can be so wild and messy and accident prone like most boys..he's a softy and cries over the funniest things. He follows Addy around all day, and does whatever she does. Including, wearing dress-ups, throwing tantrums if I don't paint his nails when hers are getting done, watching her go to the bathroom, saying everything she does, etc. It's good and bad:) Thank goodness he has Kinley to replace her when Addy starts school..otherwise he'd be devasted to not have a sister around to play with. We love him so much, and I am SO grateful to have a little boy. There's a big difference between raising girls and boys and I just love having him in our family!

We have the best friends down here. Each family has a friend for both Addy and Mason. These are the girls..Avery(almost 5), Karlee and Addy will turn 4 in June
The boys:  Karson, Mason and Easton (all 2 years old)
It's kind of a tradition we've started on Mason's birthday to do pinatas.

Easton and Mason are our 1 handed hitters:)

Mason got the perfect presents. A Thomas the Train lego/train track set, a t-ball stand that has 3 settings to start pitching to him when's older, and a tricycle.

Chris really needs to work on his form:)
Thanks so much to our friends for coming and the gifts. It meant a lot to have you all there.

Pink Eye and 2 cute girls

Poor Mason, he's just one infection after another. Well..just ear infections/colds which are combined. But the last couple days, I just thought that his clogged up head was trying to clear our his eyes, because we can't get him tubed until May 14th. His poor head just can't drain..for 2 years now! But yesterday his eyes were swelling which concerned me. We've never had pink eye around here and his eyes looked nothing like the pictures of pink eye online. His whites just weren't pink! But I took him into the Urgent Care since swelling made me nervous. The Doctor took one look at him and said it's pink eye in both eyes and bad in the right. Luckily he gave me oral antibiotics along with the ointment to put in his eye. Because trying to put that in his eye, is like trying to rope a bull blindfolded. It's impossible. (I don't know where that analogy came from) :) So I try anyway, and just started giving him the oral one too. He's already looking a lot better..but you can still see the swelling and watery eyes. At least the green stuff has stopped draining out of those big blue eyes.
Hopefully we can keep these 2 beauties from getting it. Love these girls:)
